Can't wait. No leave in December due to rough deadlines, but I'm so taking the Friday leave to prep and the Monday to recover. Going to be AWESOME
Looking forward to another GGJ, our annual everyone-shows-up jam :)
Let's see what kind of numbers we all have, I'm all for consolidation but MS is simply so very convenient :)
Global Game Jam is an event with all kinds of different people all all different levels. The important thing is to meet people, meet and learn. Whatever you make is a learning experience. Join!
Even if you feel you wont be able to contribute with your current skill set it is fine, there is always something that needs doing and we all have to start somewhere.
PM me if you can help out? Thanx :)
Also need to work out if I can still be in JHB then, currently not guaranteed for myself.

But besides the fb stuff, make sure you register at the official ggj site and put yourself into the joburg jam site. That's important.

Also, Game Maker Studio license sorted again finally (yay Steam), Unity working (free mode since my 3.0 license cant work and Unity support don't help at all), MonoGame, anything else I need?
Would anyone potentially want to use a completely new engine? Forgot about GGJ and started it yesterday (hopefully, I have it usable later today or early tomorrow). I am still debating the mish-mash of what I will add when I get it completely working for myself. I just wanted to challenge myself. (Currently only C++, hopefully after tomorrow will be C# and F support for "dev")

Also for everyone the Unity free assets are awesome but some people don't like Unity (I just don't like the license struggle I'm having) and prefer other engines so here is a dumb of assets you can go look at:
- Itch.io
- Game Dev Market
- Kenney
- Open Game Art
They fit tons of categories and art requirements for you but I can say it's just to have easy art for starting out and it makes GGJ more exciting when you build your own art and music as well.
I'm not participating in the event unfortunately, but I'm hoping to work on something small with my friends from home, in honour of the GGJ.
Just out of curiosity, there's not a way to find out privately, is there?
Here's the links to the games per site:
