...I've often thought of code people a wizards, but I didn't know you could travel in time
I could give my "Stuff we should fucking stop doing" talk that I did at AMAZE for the CT crowd that couldn't make it up for the festival, but I don't know if it's fair to force Evan and co through it all over again ;)
I've also got a physical game that I'd like feedback on, but I have no idea how to show that off at the meetup because it requires drawing on the floor with chalk... Thanks, fixed :)
I'm happy to here about the things people should stop f*@king doing again :) It's a good talk to hear over and over again because when we meet someone who should stop f*@king doing something we need to KNOW they need to stop f*@king doing it, and have the words to back that up.
I could show some BROFORCE progress or Bevis could talk about the art or we could talk about Greenlight or something?
If the latter, I would like to pitch that the old hands discuss a bit more on how to share info/knowledge/expertise among this community, and how we can knowledge base it and benefit all us local nutters :) I see that @edg3 is starting a wiki so I'm guessing that's part of it.
Is it by old hands for old hands, by old hands for noobs, or by old hands for everyone, if you get what I mean?
I agree with @Tuism, if we can I would love to hear about or actually hear the talks we missed at AMAZE if we haven't heard them before. (I really really want to try do this chalk gamedev thing and I want to know why everyone is saying "BOOM"!). I would also like to ask for a post-mortem/first hand experience talk of sorts from the people at AMAZE if anyone is willing. As you can probably tell I'm not very jealous at all about not going... damn student life.
I doubt I'll have time, but I would really like to do a post-compo version of my game from LudumDare using all the feedback I got from the last meetup. So maybe just maybe one-day I can show that off.
I would also find some excuse to mention BroForce, so Free Lives doesn't have to feel guilty about flogging it themselves. (Got your back, bro)
Seriously, would you guys record thee talks? In fact, what happened with the recordings of the Amaze talks?
Also: Awesome about Nandrew shamelessly promoting our game for us! (Plus his talk... that's a very interesting topic sir)
Also @dislekcia the chalk game is killing me with anticipation
Thanks in advance to MXIT
@dislekcia When are we board gaming? My first (super rough) prototype of asylum is getting printed today :)
:P :P :P :P :P
Srsly though, I can't record the whole thing on my iPhone (what if it rings) and have no other equipment to record with, can someone manage a camera, a power cable for it, and some duct tape to spider-web it to a secure recording location?
Have I left out any demos? @creative630, are you going to be showing something? I couldn't tell from your post...
Also. @Bevis said his talk is going to be fairly light. He's under a lot of pressure at work right now, so it's going to probably be more show and tell than tips and tricks.
Oh Shit! Moar Broforce! (plus my computer blew up today so I'm making excuses early).
But I'd like to do a talk about feedback loops next month (because I think it's weird and interesting and obvious and somehow we all do it horribly wrong at some point).
I tested and 5min is 384mb.
So I cleared everything off the card and these are the results
720fine-1280x720: 99mins
720std-1280x720 standard: 145mins
Vga: 291mins
I think that's gr8 shooting time plus I have a backup battery

Thanks @shelton :)
Is anyone going back to town/gardens after the meet up? If anyone could let me hitch a ride back I'd really appreciate it.
Peace
Jeff
