Hey fellow gamers/devs,
I'm an avid gamer, and professionally a musician/composer. I recently uploaded over 100 royalty free music tracks for any and all to use in a game/demo, video, or however you see fit. Stylistically they run the gamut from orchestral cinematic to pop/rock to jazz and more. My library can be found here:

If you find the library useful, please spread the word! I'm also constantly looking for new and exciting composition opportunities in the game/video world. If you're interested in working on a new, original project, please PM me and I'd be happy to discuss it.
Game-wise, some of my music can be found in Caine's Rift WIP "Tales From The Rift" (formerly "Horror"), and I am also currently working on an untitled Rift game with some triple-A devs.

Music in a game is very important for so many reasons, but can be very costly if you're a new indie dev with a limited budget.
I've been in contact with people like Chris Polus (The Archer) etc regarding the costs around music for games. Communicating with Chris (who is just such a wonderfully talented and humble person... search him on SoundCloud) has been very informative. But realistically I cannot afford his creative talents just yet... so I've looked at possible alternatives. here are some useful sites I have found... Hope someone else might find them useful too!

The funny thing is that it works on Windows too :P
While it's not as advanced as commercial software, you can get a simple tune out of it for free.
I used it to make some songs which I used in the trailer I made here: http://makegamessa.com/discussion/1003/my-game-tech-temo
I made those songs a few years ago and I hope that I'm much better now. Since then, I've moved on to use FL Studio since it's just easier but again, LMMS is cool for starting out :)
Get it here: http://lmms.sourceforge.net/
But I'd much rather work with a musician when possible. And it's awesome that there are more and more great musicians interested in working on indie games.
