Just a note on equipment: Bring your own extension cords and multiplugs, plug points are few and far between (literally : P) If you don't have wireless (desktop pc or whatever) there's only like 3 or 4 LAN cables scattered around the room so if y…

@Eric, A little bit of background first: So the way I understand it is (and I'm no expert on the subject), that there are three different transform matrices that are used to get the final position of the vertex on the screen. As we know, a matri…

I'm not sure you can generalise amount of drawcalls, because 2000 drawcalls for a simple 4 vertex quad is much easier than 2000 drawcalls of an entire tree or building. But I guess they're talking general guidelines. All the tests above were done o…

@shanemarks Ah yes, this method is pretty cool for large datasets - it generates the quads inside the shader - one quad per vertex, so you can take advantage of batching and should be slightly more efficient than sending thousands of vertexes from …

And I'll leave this here. What I've been listening to all day today: Also, I found this music video pretty damn creative: Goldfish have some awesome stuff man.

@BlackShipsFilltheSky ah, that could be a really cool mechanic: you get the player to drop breadcrumbs then when they double back to follow them, you quietly switch out their trail for another that leads down a completely different path ("I'm sure I…

@BlackShipsFilltheSky Just played Bread Crumbs. LOVE IT! I was wondering how you were going to tackle non-euclidean spaces within Unity and I was thinking up all sorts of hard portal-rendering type solutions, but you managed to make a really effect…

@KleinM It is working correctly, I can log in with my either my email address or username. You've probably signed up with a different email address, double check it in your profile settings.

Thanks for the feedback, debate and discussion guys, was much fun :)

We could continue with the backend for the Feedback system, but personally I'd be *much* more interested in discussing the Entelect AI Challenge!

Oooh pretty. Looks like the unreal engine. They're very light on details though, seems like quite a strange game.

Thanks guys/gals, Well, if anyone knows Wordpress / PHP / CSS and wants to help out with the dev, give me a shout and we can chat. You'll need to set up a XAMPP type server / vagrant box on which to host the thing but I can run you through the proc…

I'll also be there to take you guys through building a bug reporting backend.

The saves do have a lot of repeated characters towards the end (thats
undiscovered areas on your map
) You probably missed off a few characters or something, but it should just work with a simple copy and paste.
