wow, that looks awesome! Google was not cooperating when I asked there, is there a website with details of costs to get in and/or and itinerary or anything? Is it even one of those events you can just rock up at? I'm going to pretend that next month a large pile of money will show up and I can afford to go up to Jo-burg on short notice etc :p
It's happening somewhere in Johannesburg from the 28th August to the 2nd September. This site has some details about what is actually happening (the site isn't exactly user friendly but it has itineraries, sort of) http://www.amaze-festival.de/interact-2012/
I don't know who decided that people WANT a randomised menu of undated and unsorted categories of things happening, as opposed to, you know, actually designing for accessibility, but I really still don't know what's going on after clicking on 5 of those boxes. OMG.
It is kind of amazing (pun unintended). Thank goodness all the possibly random things that might happen are really cool. (As apposed to surprise lectures on MYSQL database history or a four day introduction to Paintshop Pro seminar)
Something bother me about this. The website only actually went up in late july, yet calls for content closed on 15 June. How were people meant to know about this ?
This event is gonna be super neato! It also serves as my deadline for finishing Fling Fu. We should get a list of everyone who plans to show their stuff at amaze, or is there one already?
Do you mean show as in actually get into the program or just as a meetup show and tell? :) I'm working towards a working prototype, getting there. Would be cool to actually participate in something with it :)

I think the festival itself is free?
Oh wells, super keen for the event anyways!
