I stumbled upon this. A new crowdfunding site based in SA. The site can be found here.

I haven't gone through the site in details, and I'm not 100% sure of the crowd-funding model that they are using, but it certainly looks interesting.

    Irrespective of their model, what are the implications for a PTY LTD that uses this? Is the funding seen as regular income and thus taxable from the start? Or are there donation loopholes ect? Any precedence in SA on this that you know of?
