Now you can tell us more about yourself!
If you go to your profile (by clicking on your name in the top menu) you'll find an option called Edit My Profile on the left-hand side of options under your picture (if you have one). Clicking on it will bring up a popup where you can capture your Website, Twitter, Facebook & Google+ details as well as give a biography of yourself.
If you visit anyone's profile you can see an About button between Discussions, Comments & Hearted; which display their data.
The profile data will still be updated allowing you to add some projects that you are proud of, with images and links so watch this space.

Just tried this, the twitter field woldn't validate, I tried many different combinations, even copy pasted the example and added to it... Didn't work. http://twitter.com/#!/tuism <-- doesn't work.
(Why does it want #! anyway? I tried it with and without)
There are a couple of niggles I have with the forums as they stand. I'll list them out here and see if there's a general agreement from the rest of the locals:
1. Thread authors not displayed. Once someone replies to a thread, I can no longer see who the original author was. When I scan through the list of threads to read, I use the title and the author to see if it's something interesting I want to read. If the title is obscure, but it's by someone I know that does interesting stuff, I want to know about it!
2. Stingy time formatting. All the replies above in this topic are marked "August 5" or "August 4". If you dont happen to catch the replies on the same day that they were posted, you cant ever see at what time they were written? The usefulness of knowing the times of posts is debatable, but where it's very important is in private messages. I had managed to miss a private message from July, and I wanted to know how long ago I've kept the person waiting for a reply, but there wasnt even a day displayed, just "July 2013".
3. Lack of reply button. This one is really silly - the act of replying to someone is probably the single most performed action on this site, but yet, if you want to reply to something someone's said a couple messages back, you have to scroll back up, select the text, copy it, scroll back down, create a quote and paste it back into your message. And dont get me started with mentions, where I have to copy and paste dislekcia's name all the time because the spelling confuses the crap out of my brain :D
I have a few other minor issues with the styling (left aligned site GRRR), but those are my major gripes that would be so good to have fixed. Thoughts?
?
At the moment my priority is the spam, then looking at your style issues and finally searching.
I have a problem updating sound cloud. Not sure if I have the right ID (profile name is herman.tulleken, URL has herman-tulleken; I tried both, plus the full URL).
(And about the notifications; it has always perplexed me that the count shows 1 (or whatever) but other than that I don't see anything; if I click on tab the count drops, and still nothing...)
Good luck with the anti-spam!
Not sure what's going on?
