suggestions for the FAQ

Hey all,

We want to keep the FAQ up to date, relevant and useful. With that in mind:

If you run into a question and answer on the forums that you think should be in the FAQ, say so! That will help us keep it up to date.

Sound guys! take a look at the great job Jonno did for game art and see if you can't do something similar for game sound (please). The sound section is looking a bit sparse.

Also the two wikis mentioned at the bottom should probably be links?

I think the FAQ should include the common "how to forum" questions alongside the mandate content or at least link to a second, technical help area. And a link to "contribute to the FAQ's - this thread, potentially, would be useful too.

I would like to see something about what can and will be moderated on the forums.

The current rules "Don't be a ^#%%@" is not satisfactory for me personally. It means that moderators can abuse their power and not be held accountable because of a "it was my judgement" argument. I also think that the community should be involved in the process of figuring out these rules.

I would really like the forum suggestions thread to be more easily findable, actually added to this thread today because I became distracted while looking for that. Maybe a link pointing to it from the FAQ would help?
