Microsoft and Unity have announced a Unity competition for Win8 mobile applications.

    You cant build a Windows 8 Unity project without running Windows 8. The same way you can't publish to Apple AppStore without a Mac.

    I don't expect there is an expectation that you have to run Windows 8 on every machine.
