Game Development Lecturer Needed in PTA
Good morning,
We are currently looking for a passionate, qualified Game Development Lecturer who is proficient in Unity, C# and would be interested to teach Game Theory and function as Programme Coordinator.
We teach with a fresh approach that is engaging, enjoyable and aligned with the current industry trends and technologies.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Experienced Game Design and Development Lecturer;
· Suitable Qualification (Minimum Diploma, NQF 6), Degree preferred;
· At least two years' game development industry experience;
· At least two years' teaching experience (preferred);
· Extensive knowledge of Unity Game Engine, complete C# visual; scripting, working with game assets, the game development pipeline, principles of game development; and must also have knowledge in Music Game Audio (Wwise).
· Passion for teaching students and the world of indie gaming.
MAIN FUNCTIONS:
1. Course Development.
2. Course / Module Management and Lecturing.
3. Grading and Moderation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Course and Program Development.
2. Academic Related Research.
3. Student Experience & Support.
4. Course/Subject Reporting.
5. Attend college 5 days per week.
6. Lecturing 18 hours per week.
7. Courseware and curriculum development.
8. Formulation of assessment tools.
9. Student support and query handling.
Background in the following is a big advantage:
· Computer science;
· Interactive media; and
· A body of work that demonstrates competency in game development.
SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES NEEDED:
· Technical ability and proficiency;
· The ability to present the content in a class environment to learners;
