Scouting game developer talent for big non-game related project

Hey guys!

I haven't been on this group for a long time, but I don't think there is a better place to ask my question. I am doing research in the field of Industry 4.0 manufacturing and several key concepts industry is looking to solve I know for a fact lies in the talents of game developers with the tools perfected by the industry over 20 years. Most people just don't know it.

I have an architecture for a revolutionary manufacturing system which I want to start up but I need game developers with experience in engines such as unity, irrlicht, source, unreal etc... who understand the engines, how to interface with them, how they handle concurrent player actions and so on. If you know about Erlang you're even more qualified.

If you guys have any clue where I'd start looking for this sort of skill set around the Cape Town area please let me know! I'd like to have a beer with them (or you).

Kind Regards

Dale Sparrow

  • Sounds pretty interesting.
I used to be an Erlang developer back in 2010 - 2012. At the moment I work with Unreal.
I would love to find out more, but unfortunately I am no longer in SA. :|

If you'd like to chat anyway, drop me a PM and we can talk.
