New in Cape Town

Good day all! I recently moved to Cape Town and was wondering if anyone would be able to give me (or others in my position) a few pointers on what steps I can take as a composer in this area? My main objective is to meet as many folk involved in the game dev and film communities and of course other composers and sfx designers. I haven't been active on makegamessa for quite a while now, shamefully, but intend on changing that by frequently looking out for meetups in cpt and getting involved in game jams

The monthly MGSA meetups is a great way to meet people making game. You'll find everyone from artists, programmers, musicians and designers there.

Welcome to Cape Town @The_Sired_Ward! Trsut you'll have an awesome time in the city; there are a lot of great people making games in it!

To echo @pieter's advice, the monthly meet up is your best regular opportunity to meet people making games in the city.

Otherwise, be sure to attend and participate in as many jams as you can! Ludum Dare is around the corner, and I'm sure there'll be a lot more good jams happening in the future.
