Looking for Unity3D Generalist Artist - Games on Tablets

Hi y'all. We're looking for an experienced Unity generalist artist that's proficient in 2D as well as 3D art animation, rigging, modeling, and texturing. Bonus points for experience on the UI/UX development side of things. Strong integration experience is required - i.e., need to be able to easily drag-and-drop assets into Unity. Given the target audience, we're looking to create low-poly characters and environments that will lean more stylized. Additionally, all 3D assets need to be tablet-friendly as we'll be deploying almost exclusively to 7" to 10" tablets.

This artist position will work alongside a senior Unity dev on a series of bite-size games for young kids - roughly ages 4.5 to 6.5 - in what should be a full-time, or near full-time, capacity. While there's an underlying educational component to what we're working on, we're definitely prioritizing making fun, super sticky games. If these games end up looking like something you might encounter in school, we've failed. Remote work possible, although Cape Town on-site is preferred. R25k - R37,5k per month (for full-time) for 6 months to start.

If interested, please shoot me an email at lcrowley@bluedoor.org.za with 'Unity Artist' in the subject line. Please be sure to include a link to your Unity Connect profile, demo/show reel, or wherever you store your portfolio; importantly, please provide reference assets we can use to make a judgement on the quality of work if those aren't already included in your portfolio; and please include your software proficiencies. Thanks!
