[Event] Cape Town community meet up : 27-02-2013

When: Wednesday the 27th of February, 2013. Starts at 18:30, ends at 21:00 (although socialising afterward is encouraged)!

What: A monthly meetup for anyone and everyone interested in making games of any shape, size or type. Come join us!

Suggestions for topics:

-Besides congratulating the Free Lives crew for a solid half hour, who's got stuff to show, games to demo or something they'd like to talk about?

    We can pad that time by spending another half hour congratulating ourselves :P

    But seriously, I'd like to show off some competitive Broforce gameplay experiments and get some feedback about their direction.

    Does anybody come past UCT on their way to the meetup? I'm sure I can make this one time-wise but I'm in res at UCT (you can see it from De Waal Drive so it isn't much of a detour if you come along there :)) and don't have a car, so if it would be possible for anybody to give me a lift that would be awesome and very much appreciated.

    @D3zmodos I come through from Muzienberg, sure I can get you on the way. I usually stay quite late afterwards to chat, but happy to give a lift back when I leave.

    Will there be room to squeeze it in amidst Broforce, Free Lives, the Ouya competition winners and whatever Blackships & Friends have cooking?

    Definitely room.

    I'm planning on bringing Samurai Gunn, Bara Bari Ball and a bunch of controllers just in case there's dead screen time and we haven't shouted quite enough yet ;)

    Also, I really want some help testing out real-time ideas for En-garde.

    Merrik said he might have something to show as well... although the veracity of this claim is as yet unverified.

    @Cybernaut, yes they are on Meetup. But just so you know, the meetups are on the last Wednesday of the month (so this month's will be on the 27th). Hope to see you there!
