Patents and Copyright vs Company you're emplyed at (this again)
Hey guys,
So a legal question based off this previous topic: http://makegamessa.com/discussion/1262/legal-q-can-my-company-stop-me-launching-my-game
Is there a general or recommended paragraph that would fully cover me for any work I do in my spare time away from the office?
Something like: "Anything you do on your own time, with your own equipment, that is not related to your employer's line of work is yours." (since the company I work for is not a game company).
I'm trying to be fair to both parties and if I confirm with them that I will always come to the office to do their work, would this paragraph above be ok?
Is there better legally recognized text for this?
Hoping @LexAquillia will see this :)
Anyone with knowledge of the best written permission to ask the company for will be appreciated!
