Nah, Wanting to learn is never embarrassing. Good luck. I'm still with the visual scripting tools like Playmaker and Blueprints. One of the courses I got was for Gamemaker's GML, That seems pretty easy and a way for me to ease myself into writing code.

Got one on unity business tycoon simulation... Personally I find them useless and not coming anywhere close to what you will find in the books... I am a cocos2d-x programmer but the only good book I read in unity is "Unity in Action"... That book makes Udemy videos extremely inferior and the only book that someone without math background can read

Blueprints has got to be one of the most powerful scripting solutions (visual or otherwise) that I've come across. With the rebuild of my game, I've had little need to open VS up at all. That said you'll get more out of BP with some OOP experience in your back pocket :)

A side note on training. I got my start in OOP with 3DBuzz's XNA 101 course back when XNA was still sort of maybe a thing. Their stuff is pretty outdated now though. I'd definitely recommend pluralsight, a little pricier but there is just so much stuff to absorb there :3
