Global Game Jam 2017 Site Registration
Hi everyone,
I'm sure a lot of you are familiar with the Global Game Jam but just in case:
The next Global Game Jam will be from January 20th - January 22nd 2017 and site registration is now open. South Africa has shown great participation since the beginning of GGJ with the most frequent sites being the Cape Town and Johannesburg sites which I believe will be returning as usual. Last year we had 2 new sites from SA, in Pretoria and George. South Africa is pretty big and there are game developers all over so I'm sure there are more potential sites with members from MGSA. I'm looking into getting a site for Port Elizabeth. If you have the capacity to organise a site for your community, even if it's a small one, consider applying. Ah another GGJ :) I really like the idea of group jamming, and this year perhaps I'll try and get a smaller team of 2 instead of my usual MO in a GGJ of 4, which can get unwieldy. Or at least I suck at project management so a team of 4 was always unwieldy for me.
