New game: HYSTERIC

I've made a twine game called Hysteric, with a long-ish story....

If you want to check it out, its here: https://mikevanw.itch.io/hysteric

  • Hi @mike16y !

I feel that selling access to a Twine story may be a tricky bid -- people around here are more interested in helping with the feedback/development process of games.

This is not to say that folks will necessarily be unreceptive to something that sounds interesting. ;) But the bar is high for notice nowadays, and it will help to add brief description of your game's core angle, + whatever supporting media is applicable (if your Twine adventure uses images, that will help us get a good feel for the game).

  • The story is about a young girl suffering from hysteria, set around 1905. It includes a few puzzles and my best attempt at a creepy story....
  • It's great that you made the game. But i suggest you at least show us the trailer or demo before selling. And i dont mean that in a rude way. But people cannot really pay if you do not market the game without at least something to provide freely in it.

@mike16y ... I have to concur with the others here ... I do however acknowledge that the game is only $0.10 USD ... so it isn't that expensive ... but your game page does not really promote your game at all.

If your compare your page to our page - https://gobbogames.itch.io/riders-of-asgard - there is so much more you can do to make your page appealing and maybe pull the people in.

Recording a trailer and adding screenshots is not difficult ... if you can't do a trailer than just add screen shots and a banner image ... you will get a lot more interest. Can you do a demo version? Maybe release that as free.

Good luck with your project and congratulations for making a game, but I really think you should try to improve your page a little.

p.s. I am not trying to plug my own page here, I am just trying to help.
p.s.s. I am not saying that our page is the best example, was just trying to show you what you could do.

What do you mean, exactly, when you say "suffering from hysteria"?

  • @dammit it's a medical condition of which my favorite symptom is a "tendency to cause trouble." :P

I actually do know this. I was wondering if the author did. Ie: that "hysteria" isn't something like a medical condition. Someone could be diagnosed with it at that point in time, but there isn't actually anything wrong the person.
