  • Hi @saad101

Great to see you join the forums and participate :) It's very cool that you've gotten as far as making a game to put on the google store. Unfortunately - and I feel an honest answer here is best - this is not a game that's worth much and so is probably not going to be worth your while to invest more time or money into. This is not a bad thing since I'm sure you learnt a bunch making it and now you can put your mind to your next project :)

    Hey @saad101

I agree with what @dammit said. I think if you are serious about getting into game development with the goal of making money then you HAVE to level up your skills a bit more.
In my experience a great way of doing this is by taking part in game jams. You really learn a lot more about making games in that 48 hours than you would have in a month of normal dev time. Another upside to entering game jams is that you start collecting a team of artists musicians and programmers you can call on for future projects. Some jams even offer monetary rewards !!! MGSA regularly hosts game jams like these as well as month long competitions, so keep an eye out for them.

Yeah I don't think I can oversell the benifits of constant rapid game making.

  • To echo what's already been said, make a lot of stuff, make more stuff, and don't stop making stuff. Make short little things, make things even if you're not sure if they'll sell, but just keep making things. The more things you make the more you'll learn, and learning is what we all need. We learn by failing - so fail faster! The more things you make and move on to the next thing, the more you'll learn.

Good luck with learning! We're all learning here! :D
