Hi guys, has anyone worked with the Perception Neuron motion capture stuff. I'm considering ordering.

    Haven't used it so I can't comment.

    What do you intend to use it for?

    In my limited experience though, the results from these devices can vary a lot, and are never as good as it appears on the sales page. Also for animation purposes, straight mo-cap still needs to be cleaned up by a skilled animator.

    I'll be using it for motion capture which translates into animations for models in games. I think mostly interested in the hand motion capture solution for first person type animations, i.e. avatar holding a flashlight, interacting with objects in the game world etc,

    Hey Egamea, I did not. I came across a website called mixamo and current all animations and characters are free. They have hundreds of animations which I then used.

    I would like to get that eventually but opted to rather buy an Oculus Rift (to develop on). Hope this helps :)
