GitKraken v1.0 launch contest

For anyone that is interested, GitKraken launched yesterday, it's a pretty cool alternative to other desktop version control managers.

With the launch they have a contest running where you can win prizes from writing a song, developing a game, or designing you own kraken.

Anyway, here's the link for those interested: GitKraken Contest Link

  • People who need a git client instead of using the command line are casual n00bs and should be trolled until they rage quit version control :P
  • @Fengol haha, I used command line GIT for 2 years... I almost rage quit :P

Ooo, cool. Not that interested in the contest, but I like seeing more options for Git clients. I haven't used one yet that I'm completely happy with. I'll give this one a try.
  • @Elyaradine I really like this one so far, there were a few bugs in the beta; hopefully the full release has resolved these.
I think it is a simpler presentation and tool compared to other's like SourceTree. So far I haven't had to jump into GITbash, because the editor can't push correctly, or something obscure.

  • First of all, a question of etiquette: Can I still post here, even if I am no longer in SA?

Just wanted to say, thanks for posting about this, it finally got me to actually release a game (a very simple game, but a game never the less).

You can play it here: http://linkis.com/nenadristic.com/2YCwj . I have learned a lot by lurking on these boards, so I would really appreciate any feedback you have.

And if you feel like supporting me in the competition, than you will need to like and/or retweet my tweet about the game:

As far as I understand, most definitely.

Glad this comp helped you out, definitely check out other game jams and events, they helped get my behind into gear a few times.

Create a thread for your game, I am sure you will get some good feedback :)
