Hello

I finished a game design course in 2015, bringing us to 2016 where I'm hoping to find work.
I can do the following (listed by position preference):
Scripting (Java Script).
Game Design.
VFX (Visual Effects).
Screen Writing.
3D Modeling (Mostly Inorganic).
Animation.

  • Do you have a portfolio?
  • Yes, but still putting it together. Currently I only have a link to some unity builds on google drive, you can find it in the portfolio section under Projects I'm Working On.
  • @RuberDucky - Little tip for you when searching for work, add links to your portfolio to make it easier for people to see your work. Having to go hunt down your portfolio means a potential employer is "wasting" their own time. And people are lazy sometimes so make it easy.
  • Thanks for the feedback it helps a lot seeing that I don't know what to do
  • I take it that your course covered very little in the way of applying for work or how to seek employment? Seems to be a factor lacking in most courses. I did a fine art diploma and they taught pretty much zero skills in seeking employment...or even basic things like quoting, invoicing, communicating with clients...
  • Seems to be the problem everywhere
  • And as stated in the other thread, add those screenshots. Again it helps to get info across to a potential employer. And add the information to the top post. When doing looking for work post or portfolio sites, imagine that a potential employer is the laziest internet user ever. Every extra click or scrolling down is just too much to bother with. Get the information out to them quick and clean.
  • Where did you study?
  • @Elyaradine VFX at AFDA in Joburg and Game Design at Friends of Design in Cape Town
