[Hiring] Games Business Development Manager

RetroEpic Software had one hell of a bumper year in 2015 and we’re looking to continue that trend into 2016. What we need to make this happen, smoothly and successfully is a Games Business Development Manager: a person to join our motley crew to drive the strategy and execution of partnerships with publishers and game designers as well as seek out new opportunities for the company.

As a Games Business Development Manager, we would expect you to:

- identify short-term growth opportunities for RetroEpic that align with our business values
- lay groundwork for long-term, strategic opportunities for RetroEpic that align with the goals and objectives of the company
- work closely with the marketing team and other key members of RetroEpic to help define and deliver overall strategy and drive games sales across platforms
- effectively set and execute strategy for engaging potential partners – such as publishers – by contacting and establishing relationships, and managing ongoing relationships
- have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills
- demonstrated ability in understanding and discussing technical concepts with teammates
- be a self-driven and self-motivated individual

Our ideal candidate will have a love for games, a deep understanding of business strategy, knowledge of the independent game development industry, keen negotiation skills and a strong track record in terms of business strategy, relationship building and (preferably) experience in the videogames industry.

Basic Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in High Tech, Media, Internet, or Games industries – in a similar role
