As we all know a game requires creative thinking, imagination and vision. Where does a person with these qualities start? Whats skills should he or she have?
Without planning and execution, the development process will be a slower one and might also grind to a halt. Seeing where one's talents adhere to what can actually be done is rewarding enough to keep one going. What helps me to gain momentum is visualizing my outcome, based on what I can do. Then I either commit to establishing the outcome through coding, sprite work etc or just making a quick sketch on paper.
