Africade: A blog about African games and the people who make them
Hey everyone!
Just wanted to let you know about a blog I've started: Africade. We'll be writing about games and their creators in Africa.
We still have to figure out what exactly we'll write about and the style, but this should be up all of yours' alleys. I think I'm tending towards tending towards a Killscreen style of writing: very much about the cultural /art/aesthetic concerns of games :). I'm also not looking to write alone - if you want to write about an African game/creator you love, let me know! I would be happy to edit your writing + other stuff.
We kicked off with two articles on the blog:
Buying into Super Sellout Arcade - about Super Friendship Arcade's party in Joburg
The Games of Super Sellout Arcade: - about the games at the party.
Next article we write will probably be about our favorite African games produced during Ludum Dare :).
If you want to keep track of stuff, do the thing on Twitter and Facebook.
Drop some thoughts below about things you'd like to see covered / things for Africade to do :).
