Assistance needed at Rogue Raid rAge booth.

edited in Jobs
I'm looking for someone to help me out at the Rogue Rogue station of the Home_Coded booth at rAge this weekend, (The Saturday and/or Sunday, possibly the Friday too).

I can't offer much, only about R50 per hour. Alternatively instead of cash, if someone would just cover for me when I need bathroom and lunch breaks, they can use my extra exhibitor pass to otherwise spend the weekend at rAge for free.

Message me if you're available and interested, even if it's just for one or two of the days.

  • I've managed to work the books and raise the wages to something a bit more reasonable: R100 per hour for Saturday (max 9 hours) and/or Sunday (max 6 hours). I've also posted some screenshots of Rogue Raid to Twitter that anyone may check out here.
  • Hey @ChristopherM

I checked out your game at the expo and it looked really good.
Here is some suggestions I have for you.
    * Make the animations respond faster. As soon as I press the button it felt a bit delayed to attack.
    * Change the jump kick buttons to jump hit. Felt like too many buttons and felt like the jump kick should use the same buttons as jump and slash.
    * Make the large skeletal enemy not require you to use a dagger because if you run out of daggers it will be frustrating

Good luck with your game. Also maybe post those links you had at rage on this page
  • Hey Zaphire!

You can actually slash in the air too, which is handy if an enemy is in an elevated position or just out of reach of a divekick at the end of a jump. Hence the need for a dedicated divekick button.
There are ways to kill a knight without throwing a dagger, but they require frame cancelling tricks with very precise timing! Overall the knight is definitely too hard at the moment and is in need of more balancing.
