[Jam] Adventure Jam 3/04/2015 (14 Days)
Starting on the 3rd of April, going for 2 weeks; Adventure Jam.
This game jam seems to be focused on exploring the odd space that adventure games occupy at the moment, an almost nostalgic craft. Personally, I'm really keen to see what comes out of a more narrative and thematic jam space.
Start: 4 April 2015 03:00AM (South African Time)
End: 18 April 2015 03:00AM (South African Time)

I'm going to try play with Adventure Game Studio a bit to get some practice in before the jam
Might I suggest looking at OpenSLUDGE as an engine. https://opensludge.github.io/
It's not as friendly as AGS, but it's a far better performing engine that allows for 32-bit compositing and hardware scaling. Uses its own scripting language.
The scripting is by no means a complete substitute for programming, but we did manage to make a very basic RPG with it for Ludum Dare a few years ago, so it's not without some flexibility.
(probably posted this before - apologies)
Personally, my time isn't going to allow me to actually participate. At least, not to a point of being a reliable team member.
I am certain people will get into this, for who can deny the charismatic gravity of that Adventure Jam poster!
