I see Leigh is doing a Environmental Texturing Workshop over at CGSociety. Does anyone know her personally? Would be awesome if she popped by these forums once in a while to share her experiences..
She's a brilliant texture/lighting artist but I think she specialises more in VFX and post-production on feature films. Not sure she does much game dev stuff.
I asked her about studying 3D a few years ago, back when I was worried I'd end up in a bank. :) She's a damn awesome texture artist. Says things up straight, doesn't sugar coat things... which I enjoy.
yep she's awesome. A few years back, I think sometime in 2000/2001, on sagd, she said she wanted to do art for games like Warcraft, etc and ppl where laughing at her. So I told her not to mind them and keep on doing what she loves. I guess she's laughing at them now hehe
