I was looking for the exact same thing, although I'm in Cape Town, but any game shop, that sells board games and etc should have I reckon. They usually sell it as replacements for lost game pieces.
Well that's the thing, I was looking at a game shop and they seemed to only have quite expensive ones, so... I never bought. I'll have another look around :)
Got a packet of 100 dice for like R20 from ABC Trading (I think that's what they're called, Chinese random shop) in Cape Town, near the Castle. Been using those for prototyping stuffs.
Wizards in joburg? Where? And as for Outer, I remember checking out their dice, they only had pretty dice in boxes, max like 10 or something of different denominations. I just want bulk d6s I can paste stuff on :)
SO EXPENSIVE :) The point is cheap things for prototyping that I don't mind messing up :P Not 2 hours an R200 for a single dice :P
You can always take a piece of wood and cut it into smaller blocks? Then just draw with a permanent marker...That's super cheap. You can even use off cuts, they are usually free at some wood work places :P
Thanks, but I would like also to make better use of my time than woodwork... Trying to get cubes of wood to be of the same size on each side is non-trivial :P

Ended up being like R2 a dice
If anyone knows of any please let me know ^^
It was R15 for 12, so even less than R2 a pop.
Time for this:
