DC's Game A Week games
I'm gonna give it a bash.
Week 1
I started earlier this week and hammered together a game. Not sure why I came up with this game, but here it is anyway.
Not a big fan of platforming so I somehow combined the worst of platforming with... something. (Actually turned out better than expected)
In a hurry now, so I'll add more info to this post later ;)
Here it is. I managed to add in some art now.

I liked it when I got to the yellow brick platform with the victory music playing, then it froze.
The name and the victory music made me think of Monty Python for some reason, how they do their animations, I was imagining the game having a Monty Python type theme to it, that I would enjoy (as a suggestion) :)
I like the sound effects and in game music.
Is the game meant to be humorous?
I would like to see more.
Froze!? Nooo! Was that at the end of the first level or did you manage to get further?
Does it always happen?
I did try to cram some humor into it.
I didn't know that at first, so I thought it froze.
It's quite a tricky game and I like the physics of it, the way one gains momentum.
Cool.
Are there any other keys besides up,left, right, escape and left mouse button?
I put some hint messages on the screen for the controls (I think that has a bug in the release still where one of them never disappears). Ctrl can also be used instead of left mouse for attack if that's more comfortable.
I'm busy making a few sprites now. Just need to think of a character for the game...
I managed to add in character art, yay! My first attempt at doing anims and usable character art.
I had trouble trying to think of a character, then I thought of a German friend (who will play the game) and his hatred for lederhosen.
I need to set up some sort of site for all this and compile all my notes.
