Vietnam '65 : looking for Testers

Vietnam'65 is a turn based strategy war game simulating airmobile operations in the Vietnam war.

The game is to be released on the Apple IOS store within the next few months.

Looking for game testers, need iPad 3 or later.

Go to www.vietnam65.com and drop us a mail and we will add you to the tester list.

  • Oh? Does the specs not allow for iPad 2 and earlier? That's interesting, was this a conscious decision? Would it not maybe be better to allow a wider audience to play the game rather than having the sharpest textures and most detailed models?

    I have an iPad 2 and iPhone 4S, but would love to test. Already gave Chippit a bit of feedback from the evening's look :)

    For the most part, an iPad 2 is actually better at games than an iPad 3. So iPad 2s will almost certainly be fine, especially since we're not CPU bound. Send me a PM here on the forums with your email address, and I'll hook you up.

    Fill rate? Is it really such a factor?

  • iPad 3 has the same GPU as iPad 2, but 4x the pixels. On mobile, fillrate is nearly everything (other than drawcalls), unless you only intend on rendering to each pixel once :)
  • I always thought Retnia on a mobile device would be a bad idea for performance. It seemed... duh, to me.
