I want to port the game I made in Gamemaker Studio to Windows Phone 8 but I need touch input. Preferably a virtual joystick

    Hi Shane,

    I haven't done it myself, but I did see on the tutorials tab of Game Maker that there is a tutorial for a touch screen joystick - in the same style as an xbox controller. Is the what you are looking for?

    Yes, I have seen that. The problem with that one is that it is incomplete. When I include it in my game, it has compile errors.

    Its a tutorial - so it would be incomplete. It should pop open a window with a step by step process so you can learn how to do it.
