Had a very odd message on our Maker's Eden Facebook page leading up to the woman introducing EGE; at first I thought she was a spammer being 'chatty' with the weird 'are you into gaming' question since it says very clearly on our profile that TME is a game; "The Maker's Eden is a first-person point-and-click adventure in three parts from indie studio ScrewyLightbulb." Surely anyone who doesn't know that 'first-person point-and-click adventure' is gaming speak shouldn't be approaching people about attending a gaming event?
As I said on twitter: There was a guy talking about this at the meetup last week. He didn't do a presentation specifically, but he was there gathering info and came to talk to me afterward. That's more than the previous CTICC-based expos that burned people have done ;)
The stand costs are a little on the high side, so I'm not sure how that would work specifically. Maybe we should see about some sort of MGSA reduced rate or maybe they even want to sponsor space for interesting local games - kinda wish the organisers had seen the Super Friendship Arcade.
Ok, they're legit. I'll post more details once I've given my feedback to the committee and we've decided on how to proceed. If you get approached tell them you are part of MGSA
We're in talks with them to have a stand. Busy sorting out sponsorship, I'm meeting with them next week to discuss. I'll let people know what is going on, but yes, it is legit.

Supposedly this convention is going to be on the 29 - 31 May 2015.
Is there any devs on here doing an exhibit?
Is MGSA affiliated with EGE in any way?
