Twitch plays pokemon... And beat it
In an incredible twist, well, to me at least, Twitch played and beat Pokemon Red after 16 days and a bit.

That's bloody incredible! 120,00 players were online simultaneously at some stage, and still they managed to achieve something. Is this something real? Can this be something beyond novelty? I gave it some thought, and this appears to have done in 16 days what Peter Molyneux wanted to do in years with Curiosity - create a system where millions could connect and play together all at the same time.
Is this Twitch API open platform? Can anyone throw together a Twitch plays thing?
