  • Standard answer applies: Spend a week doing Andengine tutorials, then spend a week doing Unity tutorials (you did mean Unity right? I couldn't find anything for something called "utility") and pick the one you like best.

An easy way to know when you've found your spot is if you start extending one of the tutorial games just for fun :)

Also, I wouldn't worry too much about focusing on Android right now - you want stuff that will compile on PC fast so you can test it quickly. Shoving a build onto a phone/tablet just to test it is slow and annoying and kinda only worth doing once you know it works anyway.
  • Thanks a ton buddy!
    *Ya unity* :)

This. Build your game on PC, add in mouse controls that you can use for everything in the game as if it was touch based, when you have a game you can start building for devices and see how it goes.

  • i cud do that if i was still using slick2d but i stopped due to lack of info on it.

now im using andEngine and i cant build the game on pc (i think), its straight to android.
