Promoting Local Indies
Hi guys,
I have a pretty decent idea for promoting local indies, in an article spot which will published every week showcasing a local indie dev or indie dev team's work and games. This article will published by myself on eGamer and would give budding devs and teams a chance to get some exposure. We can talk about the format and what appeals to you for the article. In some ways, I'm envisioning a well written piece reflecting what some of you guys are doing, planning to do and how current games, projects and prototypes are shaping up.
Essentially, I would like to develop a constant stream of local indie dev exposure on eGamer hopefully every week. Alternatively, I can adjust it so an article publishes every two weeks. But I want to publish as much local content and write-ups as possible. I'm also thinking about recording Let's Plays of prototypes and builds of current games you may have in production, as eGamer does have a YouTube channel with around 500 subscribers.
Ultimately, what I want to do is create a dialog with you guys. If any of you are at all interested, have ideas, etc, please email me at adam@egamer.co.za. I run the indie section for eGamer, so just email me with your thoughts and ideas.
Regards,
Adam Meikle
