With demos of all the games we can muster, or that want feedback, set up for people to play.

If we're still doing the small design talk, I'd like to give a talk on player choice by comparing the board games Arkham Horror with Firefly: The Game

I'd like to *play* Firefly: The Game :P hear it's pretty good. But the card art is ATROCIOUS :P
(which goes to show that art is not *all* a game is :P)

@Tuism, agreed. There is some really good art mixed in, but it mostly looks like dev art.

Having been to the Cape Town meetup last month, I'd really recommend limiting the talk number to around two. Everyone happy with that?

Is there going to be any issues with us bringing PC+ monitor since there is no HDMI on the projector. I mean from security point of view?

That would be awesome! But I think we shouldn't put too much pressure on him to prepare anything - just from the number of tweets he's been sending out, he must be exhausted :P.

We need to talk about that channel more. Can I ask that when the talks become available on the channel that we either update a Youtube Channel thread or the thread of the respective meetup? I was surprised to see some of the talks I didn't know we had :)

@Tuism,

There's been a bit of a pipeline problem with the videos in the past: getting them filmed at all; then edited; then uploaded; then actually broadcasting that they have been uploaded.

This pipeline issue is forming a strong part of @dammit and I's discussions about MGSA's social media going forward, so it will be a much more visible channel in the future :).

Thanks to everyone that talked last night, especially @Chris_Bischoff for the awesome insight into their crowd sourcing campaigns!

The take away I got last night was from @Chris_Bischoff who was talking about the marketing for the game Stasis and he said that although you're indie you should treat yourself as AAA and market yourself as such!

I felt that was a very important statement not only of how you present yourselves to others but how you see yourself and the work you do.
