[Event] Cape Town Christmas party - 6 December 2013

Hi Everyone,

So SIJO is having a Christmas party, but we have this massive open field and think that partying alone is pretty lame.... So we want to open it to all the people at MGSA and turn it into a MGSA Christmas Party :D woop woop

The idea so far is picnic with beer :D and any games we can find. We are open to all suggestions of things to do or people can bring.
Would be epic if we can get some Joust going on, and we have power cables so people can bring pc's if they want to demo games.

A night of chilling,socializing,beer and games, that is our plan :)

Date: 6th December 2013
Time: 17:00 -> onwards
Location: Triggerfish, Dreyerdal Farm, Dreyersdal Farm Rd, Bergvliet

I want to get joust so bad, but the PS move controllers are such a cost :/ Surely there is a place where we/I can get them at cheaper costs?

It depends on how many individual bluetooth controllers you can pair to a machine at a time. I think the max on a single machine is either 6 or 8. I've played 12-player Joust before through networking multiple machines together, Doug has apparently made 16-player joust happen (or maybe it was more) at PAX, but that was yet another custom setup.

Ahoy everyone!

Was wondering about numbers who thinks they will be making it?
Does anyone have a PS controls for Joust, and if so could you bring it?
Does anyone want to demo there games for people who come?

Im still looking into sorting out a braai place in case people want to braai food, instead of just picnicking on the grass.

So we found one metal drum with a grid, so we will get some wood and blitz for anyone that wants to braai.
Its only about a 1m x 1.5m.

@rumor If you are worried that you need another braai, I could probably bring my weber from home (its close by so we could always grab it later). Is there anything else that you need? Extension leads etc.
