Some of that follow up work has landed us on Develop and Gamasutra.

    It's a happy day for us :)

  • Well done and congrats on your achievement :)
Completing 30 games in 30 days is unheard of. You probably set a record in the games industry :)

All of the best with your tool and company :)

The importance of communication. We had to communicate as soon as there was trouble, but only if necessary. Unnecessary communication can be very costly when you only have one day to get the job done. Ideas were not discussed; things were not debated. You made a decision and moved to implementation.

SUCH a hard balance to get right!

    Yup indeed.

Although because our goal was one of production, and not creativity per se, it was a bit easier. If we were trying to get the best ideas possible, a lot more discussion would be needed. The other thing that made it easier was the sheer amount of ideas that would come to life. We did not have to choose between ideas, we could do both! - and as a result, we did not have many discussions about the merits of one idea over another (something that can take up a lot of time in game development). And thirdly, the scope - there are just soooo many ways in which 500-1000 lines of code can be written, for instance.
