2D "engine" for Unity (free and imperfect)
Ok so a while back I gave a 2D workshop at AMAZE in all honesty I felt it was a little redundant with the soon to be released Unity 4.3 with 2D support.
So it might be redundant, but its here non the less for any that are curious. I know of one performance issue and I will admit the 1/2 pixel was not calculated correctly it was calculated well enough for the time being. The level sprite sheet does not leave a thin outline between sprites that causes some trouble too.
So if you are curious about 2D in unity can read through my spelling without throwing a brick at me then you might find this useful.
I am contemplating fixing this up to release as a free Unity asset. Even if its redundant I think understanding how 2D is done in Unity is valuable even if you use there new 2D engine.
Any crits including spelling and parts missing from the guide that might be clearer would be appreciated.
