Wow! This is why women should not be allowed in game dev, they're worse at it than men are! :P
As an armchair game historian it's fascinating to find these games and I wish I could interview the creators to answer the questions the video's narrator asks, "who was this game made for".
The game was likely made for its creators to flaunt their... um... talents to a supposedly... uh... receptive basement-dweller audience, I imagine. A contrived vehicle specifically designed for washed-out Playmates to appeal directly to an as-yet-unexploited demographic without actually understanding their product. Thought process: What do computer nerds like? Boobs. Also gratuitous violence and swords and robots. RIGHT.
This is a blast to the past, although by 1997 the infatuation with cramming CDROMs with barely-interactive "Interactive Movies" because LOW RES VIDEO ON MAH COMPUTER was nearly gone, mercifully. It's since been replaced with barely-interactive "Interactive Movies" with motion captured skeletal animation and the shiniest of real-time pixel shaders. :P
