Turn-based slashy monster prototype

aka. Yet Another Game I've Named FienDASH

(It's my special brand of creative bankruptcy)

You're a monster hunter and you're fighting hordes of undead things. Get hit once, you slow down. Get hit twice, you die. Aim for as high a score as possible in the three scenarios provided (ranging from simple to complex).

FienDASH still follows the one-to-many, turn-based fighting ideaspace that I like fiddling with, but this time attempts to take the experience out of a grid and actually add some spectacle with a replay system that shows off your handiwork in a fast-paced, Hollywood-badass scenario of action shots, slowdowns and the ever-important CAMERA SHAKE OF JUSTICE.

I'm proud of what I managed to achieve because it breaks out of a few of my usual game development tropes. That said, I doubt I'd continue work on something like this without artistic input because being pretty is more important than usual.

Hit "Load Replay" from the menu and type "demo" if you want an idea of what I'm going for.

Presented as-is. I was halfway through a design change when I stopped working on this and I've fixed it up just enough to make sure it doesn't break for anyone. I showed this briefly at a MGSA meetup a few months back and I also handed it over to a few people for playtesting in the long-long ago, but I didn't follow through with just posting the damn thing (it didn't feel quite right for some reason) and I guess that needs to change. I'm throwing it out there now because I still really ought to.
