Humble Paradox bundle :)

So this time it's Paradox up, and I have to say I didn't know them very well, but their trailers... Their trailers are something special - I'm not sure whether to love them or hate them :)

And you can get ALL their games EVER (48) for $125

I'm curious, are they indie or are they not? 48 games doesn't seem so indie, but their level of not-taking-themselves-too-seriously seems super indie :) And good thing we're back to good ol' non-alternative DRM :)

I really love Crusader Kings 2 and I plan to get the bundle for Europa Universalis, Magicka and Dungeonland. I wish I could afford the $125 for all their games.

My understanding of Paradox though is that they're mainly a publishing house prepared to put out games that are a little more risky in return for innovation. I seem to remember Magicka started as an indie project before coming under the Paradox maternal wing.

Paradox has some pretty interesting games in their stable (I love Magicka of course and recommend it to everyone and am practically frothing at the mouth for Magicka 2).

I've heard that their deals aren't that cool for indies, or at least, they exercise a quite a heavy hand in the direction of the development of the games they publish (they encourage a lot of DLC), and they take big cuts (certainly when they are not confident in the success of a title).

Though they take on riskier games... so I expect that they have more flexible agreements than most (and while the lower end of their agreement spectrum might look predatory, they probably make fair agreements with others). I know the Magicka guys had good things to say about them.

I'm surprised Majesty 2 isn't in the Paradox weekly sale. I enjoyed that game.
