  • The second to last image, the one with the pilot standing and the crashed craft on the right, is very evocative. I think the framing of the image lends itself to asking the viewer to empathize with the pilot, and it seems like a dire situation.

The previous image of pilot and crashed plane had the pilot far smaller, and so it feels like a bird's eye view, and so it doesn't ask the viewer to put themselves in the pilot's shoes.

I'm not sure what the gameplay is like. But that image (the second to most recent one, with the pilot in the mid-ground) seems to be selling a story more than the other images.

Thanks for the feedback Evan. Noted. Yeah actual gameplay is too boring to show right know because none of the other characters have been modeled or animated yet only placeholders for them on the levels at this point. There is a teaser coming in about 2 weeks. That will be on You Tube and I will publish it on this site too so you guys can check it out.

  • The images above are really impressive! What sort of gameplay are you looking at? You don't actually explain the sort of thing you are going for, so it is hard to gauge. If it is a type of adventure game, I would just say please, for the love of all that is holy on those shots from a million miles away please don't make us pixel hunt :)

This is going to sound a little silly, but when you link to the home page of the game at http://escapefrommillstation.com/ there doesn't seem to be all that much going on as that poster doesn't seem very complete. It is not immediately apparent that there is all that much happening... UNTIL you click on http://worldofclouds.com/efmsblog.php or http://worldofclouds.com/efmsmedia.html then suddenly it is awesome. I would really lead with your blog link as from there it looks like you guys have made tons of progress where as the first link makes it feel a little like a "coming soon, watch this space" type of website.

Also, and this may sound like a tiny thing, but on your world of clouds video, you start with the sentence "all that begins have an end but not all things lost returns". If it is on purpose, then feel free to ignore it, but if it is an accidental slip of the tongue in terms of grammar, it does feel pretty jarring right at the start of the video. Did you mean "all that begins has an end, but not all things lost return"? Could just be my ear for English being broken, but the first sentence seems... wrong.

Looking forward to your youtube teaser trailer now!

    Hi yes thanks good catch.
Returns should probably be return :-)
I want to redo that video with better script and professional VO artist as soon as I get around to it.
The prototype game is completed and compiled, actual gameplay is just a single character walking through levels that are mostly blocked out at this point.
So its boring to watch that at this point.
As soon as I have more characters modeled and animated I will post some gameplay :-)
    Its a story adventure game.
Much like Uncharted 4 crossed with Myst or Riven.
    Thanks for the feedback
