I'll see if I can throw together something very basic while on holiday...

I'll be driving down to CT on the 10th, just in time to miss the CT meetup as well. ARGH.

Here's my desk at work I've put my chair back at a ~100 degree angle, so that I can recline in the chair, with my elbows resting just below the desk, and my eye level just reaches the top of the monitors. (I've put the monitors up on some packing …

I liked GeoGuessr a lot - I got steadily better each game before plateauing at around 10,000 points

Filled it in. Dont know if I count as a company or freelancer, but I sure as hell am a member.

I had this game as a kid called Midnight Party. I dont remember much about it other than the setting - a party at midnight in a mansion where a ghost comes out of the cellar and starts 'scaring' the guests - but the board artwork was awesome. Coul…

If you turned off the transparency on those planes, I'd bet you'd get a bit more performance out - although it runs fine on my work pc with a fairly old graphics card - maybe it's a mac thing :P Mouse sensitivity is also an issue both here at work …

Alrighty, so I've never played DD until yesterday, and I've just bought it on steam - it's all Shamie's fault for persuading me to try it... I'm going to skip the praise and admiring of game mechanics (good job though!), but just two things have st…

@Elyaradine Ah no worries, I'll give it a bash in Unity then.

@cairnswm - long time! How is Delphi going these days? @elyaradine - I just had a look at the web build, did you take the frozen baby out? That was my favourite :(

Haha, I used to dominate the home pc so much, my sister and her friends wrote a bootable stiffy disk that when left in the drive at bootup would run a .bat file to print an error message to the screen. It didnt stop me for long :D

Thanks everyone for the feedback on Reservoir, it was awesome playing on 7 monitors at once! :D

Unity makes things too damn easy to do :D

I downloaded and tried it out... Game Publishing Rule number 1: people dont read! I naturally didnt read what controls to use and was hopelessly confused (my own fault). Just found few buttons by accident. Also a note: Having a big installer is a …

Hey, well well done for entering! We all have to start somewhere. Other people here on the forum know a lot more about Game Maker than I do, but it sounds like when you click the mouse, you need to set a variable, storing the position of the mouse…

I feel you've got the right of it. Back in the old days, I would always be amazed at the people who found my personal website with no effort on my part. These days you have to market market market, like you say. So I feel this is a necessary evil -…

Sweet! After yesterdays competition deadline, I now have a game I want people to play :D

I dont have any experience with mobile unity, but it sounds like having a single mesh with skinning skeleton is going to be messy. The game is going to have to modify each vertex of the wheel to make it go up and down instead of just translating a s…

You've got your formatting backwards for your download links - the name is the url and your url is the name :P It's a decent start, but the feel of the controls is horrible to me - I'd much rather have shooting by clicking, and having the turret fo…

Yeah, I'm going to keep working on it, if only just to put in a cool idea I had for a timer. And tweak the AI again.. Tweaking AI can take as long and developing the whole game did. I've now seen first hand how time consuming it is to make a 3D ga…

Competition Build Okay it's been a hell of a month, but my competition entry is done - or as done as it's ever going to be at 3:30am :/ Naturally I ran out of time and couldn't implement some cool ideas. Apologies for the *horrible* level design…

I'm assuming it's 12AM tonight. @dislekcia?

Thanks! I think we've managed to solve most of the design issues through broad applications of democracy and it seemed to work pretty well. While you cant please everyone all of the time, I'm perfectly happy with forums as they are now.

I guess you're still uploading - there's no link to game 8 in your above post, and on your website I cant click the "Click here to Play game 8" button.

Thanks Herman! The way I originally planned to deal with the "spatial progression" problem was to make a number of vastly different rooms the entire game - perhaps connected by similar walkways. Games like Half Life 2 have levels that are complete…

Okay I fixed it and updated Build 0.3 I had to rename my script class to something else before it would pick up the extra public fields I added. Strange. Could be to do with having a Javascript class of the same name as a C# class.

Build 0.3 - Sound Tester Build 0.3 is up! The game has sound! I spend quite a few hours piecing together stuff from freesound.org and FL Studio, but enjoyed every minute of it. Sounds added to the drone, footsteps and ambient noises. The drone beh…
