NAG Jam in Centurion

Since two of my friends couldn't make this weekend's hackathon/thingy (it was after all very short notice) we've decided to do it next weekend instead as it coincides with the NAG jam. I'd love to attend the Jhb event you guys are organizing but I know I won't use my time effectively if I decide on jamming so far away from my comfort zone (let's not go into that right now).

So I've spoken with the guys over at house4hack and they've given me the go-ahead to hang out jam there for free.

Facilities include: Free uncapped wifi, projectors, whiteboards, more than enough space, kitchen and bathroom (duh), braai area, close to lots of restaurants and a 3D printer the guys there told me we are very welcome to use, Apparently if you want to print something very big they'd appreciate if you brought some extra 3d...ink.

    Buy a spool of ABS plastic filament they use in the machines - I *think* they use this type of plastic but I'm not sure. Also, I have no experience with 3D printing whatsoever, I just know this is 3D ink :P

    Buying a kg of this stuff from overseas for a jam is a bit overdoing it, and plus shipping it'd be nuts, plus probably never arrive in time... Are there local options?

    Apparently there are, if I understood the guy correctly. Sent him a mail and will get back to you once he's replied.

    Alright, here's what he said:
    We have some white he can use for free or if he wants other colors can get from either filamentfactory.co.za (better quality and price) or http://shop.3d-printer.co.za/ (better availability)

    Our printer uses 1.75mm PLA filament

    Could everyone planning on attending the Jam at the centurion venue please let me know which of the days you'd like to come over (all of them are fine too) and if you have any other questions.

    Just need to finalize a few things.

    They've got everything we'll need there besides your mortal life-vessels and coding-machines. If you'd like to go over there for the Friday as well, that's cool too but you'll need to use one of the smaller rooms (big enough for around 4 people).

    @bigbadWofl, must we rsvp spots first or can we just pitch up on the weekend? I am not 100% sure if we will be going but there is a big possibility. How many people can house4hack accommodate? (We are about 5 guys)

    I'm in the middle of a bunch of stuff and I'm not really sure where I'd be for the jam, home is even a possibility... Too much going on, but thanks for the space, I might be coming through, though not as likely right now.

    Argh why can't things just be easy :/

    Nah, you can just pitch :) There's definitely enough space for you guys.
