  • I like the "Playtest Pitchathon" concept! Gonna have to try steal that for CT meetups :)

  • I'm aiming to be up in PTA that week. If there's "Ask me stuff" slot going, I'd be game to fill it.
    Thanked by 1Bensonance
  • I might actually be there for once ! If you don't manage to fill a focused feedback slot I will probably have something ready to show (local multiplayer)

  • @francoisvn It's a pretty new thing our side - seems to work pretty well, though! :)

@dislekica Sounds great - would be awesome to have you! :D

@Kobusvdwalt9 Cool, would be cool to see you again! :D Regarding the focused feedback slots, how we do them now is we take games that want specific, focused feedback on a specific element of a game. So if you have something you want that focused feedback on - cool, let us know! Otherwise, the post-meetup playtesting/pitchathon provides plenty of general feedback.

  • @Bensonance Will it be possible to give me a 10min slot? I feel like my game is ready for it's alpha testing and reveal.
  • @Crash yay for getting the game ready to play test! :D

As I said above, these days we reserve the focused feedback for games that want specific focused feedback on something, rather than general feedback :). Sounds like you just want general feedback, which the playtesting afterwards is great for :).

  • @Bensonance Ah yes your right haha! That sounds fine with me.
  • @Bensonance - Maybe addressing the conduct of the Community? :P (This isn't Fight Club)
  • Please help me out. how can MGSA help me if I want to invent a new board game?
    Thanked by 2dislekcia dammit
  • You can come and chat with people, share your ideas, and most importantly find people who could playtest with you :) Playtesting is about the most important thing in making boardgames... Or any games (digital or physical) for that matter!

Basically, like-minded people with experience in it, which is invaluable :)

You're welcome to also post your thoughts and questions here on this forum any time :)

    Welcome! :)

  • Idea. How about everyone who wants to do a 30 sec playtest pitchathon brings a 30 sec gif to play while they pitch.

  • Hey guys, unfortunately I have to skip the meeting again I thought my stuff would be ready but it's not ready yet so I am going to push it for the next meeting.
  • @Crash: What is your criteria for knowing whether something is "ready" to show or not?
  • Yeah, basically, showing broken stuff and meeting people is MUCH BETTER than not meeting people and showing nothing :) COME COME COME :)

  • I’m new to the community. Would appreciate a 2-minute slot tonight to make a pitch for help! I and a couple of friends are working on a mixed reality online game with toy robots and are looking for a really creative, unconventional game designer/developer to partner with us on this.

  • @johanpoolman Cool! You can do that at the end of the community news, just remind me when I'm doing it :).
  • First time I attended and it was awesome! See you all next month :)
