Creating a 2D Spinning Gold Coin
Greetings everyone!
After our recent launch of Gloobies Lab, I thought it would be a great idea to share some of the processes I used in creating the assets for our game.
I've written a tutorial on creating a 2D spinning gold coin. I outline my general work flow, and provide links to more in depth tutorials on specific topics for those who would like to dig a little deeper.

My work flow is broken up into four main steps:
1.) Research and Planning
2.) Creating a 3D reference
3.) Animation and Colouring
4.) Finishing up
The tools I used where Google Sketchup Make and Photoshop CC.
If you are a programmer, definitely check out Google Sketchup Make as it can help take your place holder art to the new level for very little extra effort. Also it's free!
