A MAZE 2015 - What's the plan/Who's all going?
Hey Forumites!
I just wanted to generally find out if peeps are going up for the next A MAZE, it's still a bit away but I might time my annual Germany visit to overlap with the A MAZE Festival happening in April...
So who's going/flying/driving up?

I hope to be at Amaze Berlin again someday.
There will be a lot of Germans at Amaze, and they'll be talking in German. But there are a LOT of international (mostly European) devs who participate, and they'll be speaking English to each other.
The public transport system just works. You can catch a tram from just about anywhere to anywhere. I found I could understand their train/tram system well enough after a bit of headscratching to get wherever I wanted to go.
Make the most of your time at Amaze. Get there as soon as it starts, and stay as late as it lasts.
Play as many games as you can, and engage with the creator (who is often hanging around nearby).
I don't know what other tips to give. There's a lot of tips over in the GDC thread that might apply. Travelling to Germany is relatively easy, it's in the same time zone, and Berlin is doable in English.
I don't know about the Berlin one but for AMAZE Jo'burg I have to echo @BlackShipsFilltheSky 's sentiment when he says I was very nervous speaking to the internationally acclaimed people at first thinking I was just a nobody but soon realised to just get chatting with them was the best strategy. They are just normal people who love games like we do and they'll talk to you as such. On top of that most game dev people I've met around the world are nothing but awesome, humble, honest people and are more than happy to share advice and experiences if you are just a nice friendly person (and you are so you'll be fine ;) ).
