[Event] Analogue and physical game jam at Wits Digital Arts, 8-9 March
* Start time: 9:30 Saturday; End Time: 14:00 - 17:30 Sunday. 8-9 March
* At Wits Game Lab (This means tokens, dice, reusable boards and other analogue game bits will be provided).
* Games will be based on a selected theme or constraint.
* Any analogue/physical/street game that subscribes to the theme may be jammed; this covers card games to pen and paper RPGs.
* Jam in teams or alone
As per last time, you'll have all manner of game bits to prototype with and plenty others to play test with. There will be parking available inside Wits and lots of places to eat nearby.
We'll start at 9 on the Saturday and end development around 2PM on the Sunday. Then we'll play each others games!
Suggest some themes that are cool for Analogue and Physical Games!
Current Themes:
-"Movie tie-in game": pick any movie; make an analogue game based on the theme and characters. Series, webisodes, comics also possible.
-"Too poor for video games": Make a physical game of a digital game.
- "Forever Alone" - Make a single player physical game.
- "3 minutes are all you get" - Make a physical game that can be played in short rounds. Bonus if it can be played on a bus.
-"Oxytocin enabler" - Make a game in which holding hands is a significant part of gameplay
-"One for all" - a physical game where the players simulate having a disability. (Making it inclusive for those with disabilities)
-Til Death Do Us Part" - Game must involve working in teams of two.

Suggestion/experience talking:
1. Try not to go with pre-conceived notions of what you'll be making - it stunts collaborative creativity.
2. If you do go there with something in mind, be open to other people's ideas
3. And don't go thinking you're gonna make an existing game better. You most likely possibly definitely probably won't.
4. If you wanna make card game, bring your own cardboard (white A4 packs from CNA are good).

1. Is overnighting possible, or is it come closing time, we don't have to go home but we can't stay here? (I know who I want to take me home #semisonic)
